We invite you to join the Friends of the Eastern Maine Community College Library. The purpose of this group is to “enrich the resources and facilities of the EMCC Library.”
These are exciting times for the library and the college. The Friends donated funds for construction of the Circulation Desk in the new library in Katahdin Hall through our pledge to the Capital Campaign.
Your support is needed to help us purchase additional shelving to house our growing collection—our most pressing need this year. This is most important in a time of tighter state budget constraints.
As a Friend of the EMCC Library, you will receive the following benefits:
- Knowing that you have helped strengthen this valuable resource.
- Guest Library privileges.
- Receipt of the College newsletter.
- Inclusion in the listing of donors to the EMCC Foundation.
- A vote at the annual Friends of the Library meeting.
The Friends organize and promote fundraising activities throughout the year. These activities in the past have included book sales, raffles, calendar sales, Designs by Lucinda© pin sales, and the first ever in Maine – the annual BOOKS2EAT Edible Book Contest and Friend raiser.
