Office Technology

Overview

This one-year certificate program will prepare graduates to perform clerical and administrative duties in an office setting. Students will have the opportunity to take the Microsoft Office Specialist exams in Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Graduates from this program will have the necessary skills to work in a variety of office settings.

Microsoft Office Specialist Exams

Students enrolled in Information Processing courses including CPT113 Introduction to Computer Applications and CPT114 Computer Applications II are eligible to take the Microsoft Office Specialist exams for Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Prerequisites

Algebra I, Biology, Keyboarding (25 WPM with 3 errors or fewer for 3-minute timing), and English Composition required.
