Center for Business and Industry

Eastern Maine Community College’s Center for Business and Industry serves as an innovative economic resource for the community, supporting business and entrepreneurial activities and improving their success rate. We work with businesses to address workforce growth, training needs, professional development and education.

Through the Center for Business and Industry, businesses can receive contracted technical training, corporate specific programs, and assistance with access to funding. We have worked with a range of businesses since 1987, creating dynamic curriculum and programs that foster workforce growth and success. Examples include mini-split heat pump training for Bangor Hydro and RH Foster, table games training for Hollywood Casino, and supervisory and teamwork training for The Jackson Laboratory.

The Center also offers a variety of noncredit courses to help community members gain industry-recognized certifications and important skillsets. These range in topic from healthcare to computer applications to energy and professional studies. A complete listing of noncredit courses can be found here.

Please contact either of the below staff members if you have questions about customized training programs or noncredit classes.
