Academic Support Services

The Academic Support Center (ASC) at Eastern Maine Community College provides individual, professional tutoring to assist students as they achieve their academic and educational goals.  This is accomplished in a number of ways:

  • Tutoring—Tutoring is available for most courses, either one-on-one or in small groups. Tutors can help students achieve excellence in particular courses. Download the form to request a tutor here.
  • Placement Testing—The Accuplacer placement test can be used to help assess the current status of a student’s skills so that the student can be guided into the courses that are neither too hard nor too easy.
  • Disability Services—Accommodations in their courses for students with disabilities.

Take advantage of these services by contacting the Academic Support Center in 105 Maine Hall.

Hours of Operation:

Academic Support Center: 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM Monday through Friday

Elizabeth Worden’s Office Hours: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday.

To ensure assistance, please make an appointment in advance. Walk-ins can only be helped if a tutor is available at that time.
