Catering Guidelines

Flik Independent Schools by Chartwells is pleased to present this Catering Menu developed for Eastern Maine Community College. The guide serves only as a sampling of our catering abilities and does not reflect the full range of selections and services we can provide. Our Director of Dining Services, George Thrift, will gladly assist you in developing a customized menu for your next meeting or event. We look forward to serving your catering needs.

The following menus are priced for 35 people or less and will be delivered and set up in your meeting room. If your catered event or meeting occurs in the evening, we will pick up the remaining food, beverages and equipment early the following morning. If your event is larger than 35 people, please contact George Thrift at (207) 974-4688 between the hours of 7:00am and 4:00pm, or send an email to gthrift@emcc.edu at your convenience.

We require a minimum of 5 business days notice for all orders and 2 business days notice for all cancellations for ordering purposes. To assist Flik in making your catered event or meeting a success, we request that all catering needs be approved through George Thrift by Friday @ 10:00 AM for the following week.

Conditions and Service Fees:

Evenings and Weekends may require an additional surcharge for labor reasons.

Cancellation Policy

If an order is cancelled in less than 48 hours, the customer is responsible for full payment of the catering order.

Additional Charges

China and Linens:

Our services include all the necessary disposable paper products for a successful event. White linen tablecloths ($3.50 per table) will be added to your catered event to prevent spillage issues to any surface on which we display your catered event. China, glassware, silverware and linens are available for an additional fee for more formal events. The fee is based on number of pieces required for the function.

Station Attendants:

Some of our Menu Items require a station attendant. In every case, the charge will be calculated per event as needed.

Wait Staff:

Our normal charges include the set-up, delivery, and pick-up of all orders. If you wish to have professional wait staff for your function, the charge will be based on a minimum of 3 hours, plus overtime if applicable.

Allergy-Aware

Flik is very conscientious about food allergies that may exist for the guests of your catered events and meetings. We prepare most of our food without nuts. Please consult George Thrift should you know of an attendee with a specific allergy issue when ordering.
