Ways to Give

There are many ways to give

We will work with supporters to arrange convenient and meaningful methods of giving. Each giving opportunity provides a lasting benefit in helping students realize their career and educational dreams and in strengthening our region’s workforce and community.

Your gift will make a difference.

The EMCC Foundation is dedicated to developing resources and scholarships to assist students. Individual, business and community partnerships provide crucial student support in the form of scholarships, equipment, technology resources, and financial funding.

The average cost of attendance (tuition and fees) at EMCC is $3,500 per year plus room, board, books, tools, clinical fees, and supplies. Although the cost of attendance at EMCC is much lower than other Maine colleges and universities, this cost creates a burden for students striving to achieve a post-secondary education.

Scholarships support is often crucial to student success. Generally, scholarships help reduce the financial burden of college tuition. Some scholarships may be used to purchase necessary books and tools, enabling the recipient to come to class fully prepared and ready to learn. Students who have received these scholarships often note that this help came at a time when they were unsure they would be able to continue their studies. Simply knowing that someone cared enough to contribute financially to support them renewed their sense of purpose and commitment to their educations.

The EMCC Foundation will work with scholarship founders to establish the scholarship name, award amount and criteria for recipient selection. Scholarships are often based on academic merit, program of study, financial need, and/or enrollment status.

Equipment Donations

The Community and Business Partnership Program is an outreach program to establish to develop partnerships with business and community organizations.  These relationships allow for capital equipment and financial donations for specific academic programs.

Specific in-kind donations of program equipment and technological resources are accepted. These gifts enable students to experience “real world” scenarios    in preparation for entering the workforce with skill and confidence.

Annual Campaign

The Annual Campaign is a bi-annual solicitation to gain financial support for students’ educational activities.  The money is used to provide funding for scholarships and student resources including; The Student Leadership Center, educational equipment, creation of classroom and laboratory space, and new technology.

Planned Giving

Planned giving offers many benefits to donors. Contributions may be tailored to meet your goals and objectives. Bequeathed gifts ensure that students will be supported in the future without affecting your assets now.

Maine Chef Challenge 2013

Join us on Friday, March 22, 2013 for the first annual Maine Chef Challenge. In the spirit of culinary competition, three of Maine’s finest chefs will battle before a live audience and an esteemed panel of judges to earn the honor of “Maine’s Chef.” The Challenge will feature the state’s vast agricultural diversity at its best, prepared with skill, speed and ingenuity by rivaling chefs and their culinary teams. Provided with a secret Maine ingredient, each team will have five minutes to select farm fresh ingredients from an on-site market, then swiftly transform them into a delectable dish that outdoes their competing colleagues. Judges will rate each course using criteria based on creativity, flavor and presentation.
