Financial Aid Calendar

2011-2012 Academic Year

Priority FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) Filing Deadlines
The Student Aid Office awards student aid on a first-come, first serve basis. Students who meet the FAFSA filing deadlines and complete their financial aid files first, are the first to receive their award letters.

These deadlines are used to determine priority application filing:

  • Student Type FAFSA Filing Priority Deadline
  • Incoming First Year Students May 1, 2011
  • Returning Students April 21, 2011
  • Summer 2010 Work Study Applicants April 21, 2011
  • Incoming Students (January 2011 Admit) December 12, 2011

If funds are available, FAFSA applications received after the above deadlines will be considered for financial assistance.

Important! The Free Application For Federal Student Aid may be filed on or after January 1, 2011 for the upcoming academic year. It is important to complete the FAFSA when you apply for admissions to any degree, diploma, or certificate program at EMCC.

Do not wait for the formal acceptance to EMCC before filing your financial aid application.
