Meet the Student Ambassadors

Toni Flagg

Toni grew up in Belfast, Maine, and attended Belfast Area High School.  She is currently enrolled in our Liberal Studies program, and enjoys firefighting, old video games, hanging out with friends, and camping.  She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, and received first place in First Aid and CPR at the National Skills USA conference.

Toni chose EMCC because it felt more like home and had a smaller campus and class size. After graduation, she plans on working at a hospital.

Jenna Harwood

Jenna grew up in Augusta, Maine, and attended Cony High School.  She is currently enrolled in our Surgical Technology program, and enjoys playing field hockey, swimming, and teaching swim lessons to younger kids.

Jenna chose EMCC because she liked the small school atmosphere, and that her teachers would meet with her outside of class whenever she needed help.  After graduation, she hopes to get a good job, and eventually have a family.

Dean Sapiel

Dean grew up in the Penobscot Nation of Maine, and attended Orono High School.  He is currently enrolled in our Liberal Studies program, and enjoys Dungeons and Dragons, Magic: The Gathering, video games, music (playing and listening), drawing, the finer things in life, and animals!  He has been on the Dean’s List every semester so far here at EMCC, and was Prom King and Air Guitar Champion in 2011, as well as being Mr. OHS Crowd Favorite while in high school!

Dean chose EMCC because he was unsure of what path he wanted to pursue.  With inexpensive tuition and a great transfer program, EMCC was the school for him!  After graduation, he is unsure of where he is going, but he may be a math major at the University of Maine.
