Eastern Maine Community College Fall Move In 2012!

Welcome Back!

We have just completed the first week of classes at EMCC. The campus is a very busy place and I am excited to meet the many new students and see our faculty on campus. The first few weeks of the fall semester are important and imperative to your future success as college students. If you are having any challenges I would encourage you to seek out a staff, administrator or faculty member to work with you to resolve the problem. This includes financial aid, bookstore, housing, tutoring, class schedule, personal and academic issues you may have.

The most important job I have is to ensure your college career starts off right and to make sure that you continue to the finish line (graduation)! EMCC is part of the national Achieve the Dream Initiative (ATD) which is a movement among a select group of community colleges improving your success and graduation rates. If you would like to share your thoughts or have input into improving student success I would encourage you to contact Dan Crocker at to serve on one of the campus ATD committees.

Finally, I want to encourage you to get involved outside the classroom; the college has over 20 college clubs and 8 scholastic sports teams to choose from.

Enjoy the great September weather and those cool nights!
