Honors and Merits
Honors are bestowed as recognition of outstanding academic achievement at Eastern Maine Community College. They are awarded to our matriculated learners who have reached the established criteria and are academically outstanding. EMCC supports academic achievement and is pleased to recognize learners whose performance merits special attention.
Recognizing academic excellence among full-time matriculated learners, each semester the Academic Affairs Office will prepare a list of those students who have earned a semester grade point average of 3.25 or higher with no course grade below a C to be considered for the Dean’s List.
Full-time matriculated learners who are registered for at least 12 credit hours for the full semester and earned a semester grade point average of 4.0 are eligible for the President’s List.
Part-time learners who are matriculated with 6-11 credits, earned a C or higher in all classes and have semester grade point average of 3.25 are recognized through Honorable Mentions.
