Community Paramedicine Technician
The City of Bangor has a unique opportunity for the right candidate interested in making a difference! The Community Paramedicine Technician (CP-T) serves as an important member of the City of Bangor Public Health & Community Services and Fire Department teams. This position combines paid training for CP-T licensure with care delivery responsibilities to ensure timely, seamless, and person-centered community paramedicine services for individuals referred. Community Paramedicine (CP) is an EMS model where licensed providers offer non-emergent, episodic care in out-of-hospital settings, like patients’ homes, under a physician’s direction to focus on health needs like managing chronic conditions, providing wellness checks, supporting care transitions, etc. This expands the traditional EMS role, allowing licensed CPs to conduct home visits, monitor vitals, draw blood, provide vaccines, offer education, and follow up on hospital discharges within an existing or expanded scope of practice (scope dependent on license tier).
This position is grant-funded through the Community Paramedicine Serving Rural Mainers Project, supported by Community Care Partnership of Maine. Funding for this role is secured through November 2026, with continuation contingent upon renewal or additional grant awards.
This position’s full salary range is $28.36 to $30.54 per hour and is nonexempt.
