Assists Director with financial and programmatic grant reporting as well as administrative tasks. Implements projects and initiatives. Responsibilities may include holding community forums, identifying goals and interventions, and providing technical assistance and support related to tobacco, nutrition, chronic diseases, physical activity and other related health issues within the community.
Represents Northern Light CA Dean/Northern Light Mayo on task forces and community coalitions.
Assists Director with financial and programmatic reporting requirements.
Serves as liaison to local youth advocacy groups.
Assists Community Health Specialists and Community Health Coordinators with workplan goals and objectives.
Develops working relationships with community agencies/organizations for Northern Light CA Dean/Northern Light Mayo involvement.
Coordinates efforts between school health coordinators, local youth advocacy coordinators and Northern Light CA Dean/Northern Light Mayo.
Coordinates Community Outreach activities and disperses information.
Provides technical assistance and support as needed.
Forwards information and materials to Community Partners.
Implements Community Outreach workplan.
Plans and organizes community events/programs that increase the community knowledge and skills to prevent substance use, tobacco use, increase physical activity, good nutrition, and prevent chronic disease.
Creates and distributes educational and promotional materials for the Community Outreach.
Organizes task forces and coalitions around issues and objectives.
Organizes public forums as appropriate.
Promotes use of existing programs
Encourages capacity building by members (fosters attendance at trainings, etc.)
Educates community agencies/organizations on the concept of tobacco use prevention, substance use prevention and chronic disease prevention.

Spreadsheet application with the ability to use calculations, formulas, graphing tools, pivot tables, and a macro programming.
Word processing, spreadsheets, data entry, database experience and other computer related skills.
Email application with the ability to manage email as well as calendars, managing tasks and contacts, note taking, journaling, and web browsing.
Presentation software with the ability to create presentations with the ability to incorporate animation, audio, video, time delays, as well as designing themes and variants with animations and effects.
Word process application with the ability to create and edit documents, format, use tables, apply footnoting, create table of contents and mail merge techniques.

Required associate degree In lieu of education, two years of experience is required per year of required education, exclusive of the minimum experience identified above.
