Join our Team! Penquis, a social services agency serving Penobscot, Piscataquis, and Knox counties for over 50 years, is currently seeking a full-time 40 hours per week (benefit eligible) Energy Auditor. As the Energy Auditor you perform energy assessments of client’s home providing detailed reports of recommendations to improve energy efficiency changes. This position is based out of our Bangor location.

Location: Bangor, Maine

Energy Auditor Responsibilities:

Perform complete energy audits which include complete testing of combustion appliances and heating systems. Collect all energy usage data for input into approved energy modeling software.
You have knowledge of key energy efficient concepts or are able to learn these technologies.
Complete accurate energy audit reports.
Offer training and technical assistance to clients and contractors during work progress.
You communicate with the client throughout the process, providing education, background information and updates.
Manage multiple contractors and projects concurrently.

Energy Auditor Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent, 2-3 years related work experience in related field.
BPI Building Analyst – Professional certification within 6 months of employment.
Must have valid Maine driver’s license and ability to provide adequate insured transportation.
Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency.
Upon hire and periodically thereafter, must comply with Penquis background check requirements with satisfactory results as outlined in current contract provisions.

The rate of pay for this position starts at $20.43 per hour, and additional compensation may be given consideration with relevant experience.
