Information and Updates

As Maine’s community colleges prepare for a possible outbreak of COVID-19 in our communities and on our campuses, it is essential that everyone stays informed. This is a rapidly evolving situation, and we will continue to provide information as it develops and changes. Please check back regularly for updates.

EMCC is in close, regular contact with the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Maine CDC) concerning the recent coronavirus outbreak that originated in central China.

What can I do to protect myself and others?

  • STAY HOME if you are sick and do not return until you are fever-free without fever-reducing medication for at least 24 hours
  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or your sleeve when you cough or sneeze
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water, or an alcohol-based, waterless hand sanitizer
  • Practice social-distancing
  • Refrain from touching your face
