Program Details

EMCC’s Heat Pump Installation Training will provide students with an expanded level of skills to install and service single-zone mini-split heat pumps. Topics covered include basic heat pump/refrigeration cycles, equipment electricity, and mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of heat pump units. Lab activities include electrical wiring and troubleshooting, piping techniques, leak testing, evacuation, charging, refrigerant recovery, plus operation and maintenance of mini-split heat pumps.

This course is specifically designed for current Licensed Heating Oil and Gas Technicians, HVAC Technicians, Licensed Electricians, and Contractors.
