EMCC’s Intro to Phlebotomy Program prepares you for a career in health care. This program can advance your current skills as a health care professional. Learn to gather blood samples from patients in a laboratory setting using needles, syringes, vacationer tubes and other equipment. The program covers basic medical terminology, anatomy, laboratory math, blood composition, and infection control.
Program Schedule
This 9-week coure is offered online and in-person. Lab time will be held in person on EMCC’s campus for approximately 1 hour every Friday between 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. This course will prepare you for the National Healthcareer Association’s national certification in Phlebotomy (CPT 1).
Upcoming classes will begin the second week of March and the first week of June 2021.
