Program Details

EMCC’s Phlebotomy Program prepares you for a career in health care. This program can advance your current skills as a health care professional. Learn to gather blood samples from patients in a laboratory setting using needles, syringes, vacationer tubes, and other equipment. The program covers basic medical terminology, anatomy, laboratory math, blood composition, and infection control.

Pre-Registration is open for the Spring 2024 semester.

Application Requirements

  • 18 years of age by the start of the course
  • Maine state resident
  • Copy of high school transcript or equivalent completion certificate (GED/HiSET)
  • Signed Assumption of Risk Form
  • Background Check
  • Required Immunizations: See Immunization History Form
