Medical Records Information Technician Certificate

Healthcare remains one of the strongest industries and largest employers throughout the State of Maine, providing both career stability and opportunity. EMCC is proud to announce a new opportunity for training, with our Medical Records Information Technician Certificate.
Participants will work through a curriculum designed to provide the necessary skills to gain employment in the field of Medical Records. Our program includes Medical Terminology (I & II), English Composition, Customer Service Excellence Pathway, Career Ready, and Introduction to Computer Applications. Successful completion of this program provides participants with a certificate, college credit, and a micro-credential in Customer Service Excellence.

This is a 225-hour program delivered over twelve weeks through online delivery. Training is provided through Maine Quality Center funding, and open to a limited number of Maine residents 18 years of age or older, with a high school diploma or GED, and access to computers with an on-line connection. Participants must qualify as displaced workers, underemployed, or unemployed.
The Medical Records Information Technician starts June 1st and runs through August 21st.
