COVID Protocols

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Eastern Maine Community College remains committed to the health and safety of our students, employees, and campus community. Our public health protocols are informed by the Maine Community College System (MCCS), the Maine CDC, and our medical advisors, and are subject to change based on current conditions.

COVID-19 Guidelines and Protocols

  • Vaccination: Students at EMCC are not required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to participate in on-campus classes or activities. Students in certain academic programs are proactively informed that a COVID-19 vaccination may be required by third-party locations, such as clinical or internship sites. Students should consult with their program director for more information.
  • Feeling Unwell? If you’re experiencing symptoms of illness, please stay home if possible. If you must come to campus, wear a mask, cover your cough, and wash your hands frequently.
  • If You Test Positive for COVID-19: Individuals who test positive should isolate and remain out of class or work until at least 24 hours after a fever has subsided and other symptoms have improved. After isolation, a mask should be worn indoors for 5 additional days.
