2020-2021 Academic Year

Priority FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) Filing Deadlines
The Student Financial Aid Office awards student aid on a first-come, first-served basis. Students who meet the FAFSA filing deadlines and complete their financial aid files first are the first to receive their award letters.

These deadlines are used to determine priority application processing:

FAFSA Filing Priority Deadline:

  • Incoming First-Year Students – April 30, 2020
  • Returning Students – April 3, 2020
  • Summer 2020 Work Study Applicants – April 10, 2020
  • Incoming Students (January 2020 Admit) – December 13, 2019

If funds are available, FAFSA applications received after the above deadlines will be considered for financial assistance.

Important! The Free Application for Federal Student Aid may be filed on or after October 1, 2019 for the 2020-2021 academic year. It is important to complete the FAFSA when you apply for admissions to any degree, diploma, or certificate program at EMCC. Click Here to complete the FAFSA.

Beginning in Fall 2020, EMCC will be requiring students to have a laptop. If you do not have one, or need help getting one, you may work through financial aid to make that happen. Check your MyEMCC portal for more information on the basic computing requirements, or contact finaid@emcc.edu with any questions.
