Health Care
Eastern Maine Community College does not offer health services. Students are encouraged to use their primary care provider for the treatment of illnesses and injuries, counseling, and referrals.
Free or low cost health insurance for families with children and pregnant women is available through the State of Maine Department of Health and Human Services. Information on the MaineCare program may be obtained by contacting the Department of Health and Human Services at 1-877-KIDSNOW (1-877-543-7669).
Student Insurance Information
Maine Community College System is pleased to provide a student accident insurance plan for the 2026-2027 year. All enrolled students are covered for Accident Medical Expense Benefits and Accidental Death Benefits subject to the terms, conditions, limitations and exclusions of the Policy.
The plan provides coverage whether or not college is in session, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Coverage begins August 15, 2026 and terminates August 15, 2027. *No sickness benefits are provided.
