Clinical Assistant
Clinical assistants support medical staff and help deliver quality patient care. You’ll get hands-on training in patient history, vital signs, medical procedures, and emergency response, with a direct path to employment or further study in medical assisting and allied health.

Learn to provide essential patient care under RN supervision through classroom, lab, and clinical experience. Graduates qualify for State of Maine certification after passing the board exam.

Build the foundational skills for entry-level roles in medical offices, hospitals, and specialty practices. You’ll learn medical terminology, billing and coding, and key healthcare policies, plus remote work training for hybrid or remote positions.

Pharmacy Technician
Get hands-on training in medication preparation, dispensing, inventory management, and controlled substance handling for hospital and retail settings.
Prepares you for the NHA CPhT certification exam
Phlebotomy
Learn to collect blood samples using a range of techniques and equipment. The program covers medical terminology, anatomy, lab math, blood composition, and infection control.

Civil Construction Technician
Build the roads and bridges of tomorrow. Developed with input from MaineDOT and industry partners, this certificate prepares you for entry-level roles in construction inspection, materials testing, and engineering support.

Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
In partnership with Ancora Training, EMCC’s Class A CDL program provides hands-on tractor-trailer training that meets FMCSA Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) requirements. A grant-funded Class B cohort for women is also available.

Help automotive technicians build the skills to work with evolving vehicle technology. Offered through the Maine Jobs and Recovery Act.

Learn to install and service single-zone mini-split heat pumps. Hands-on labs cover wiring, troubleshooting, piping, refrigerant handling, and system maintenance.

A hands-on introduction to careers in the construction trades, with site visits, guest speakers, and direct connections to employers and apprenticeships. Offered in partnership with the Associated General Contractors of Maine, Maine’s community colleges, and the Harold Alfond Center for the Advancement of Maine’s Workforce.

A comprehensive overview of the 2026 NEC updates for electricians and electrical professionals, focused on safety, compliance, and best practices for installation and inspection.

Emergency Medical Technician
EMS 131 provides the foundation for entry-level emergency care and patient transport, including patient assessment, airway management, CPR, spinal motion restriction, and medication administration. It’s the first step toward Advanced EMT and Paramedic.
