Take the Next Steps with EMCC

After you apply with our FREE online application, you will need to complete the following steps below. At any point during the process, feel free to reach out emccadmissions@mainecc.edu or 207-974-4680 for assistance. Check your email often for updates throughout the process!

  • Official High School Transcript/ HiSet/ or GED
  • Official University or College transcript (s) if you have taken classes at another institution. This includes dual or concurrent credit.
  • Submit Immunization records

**Documents must come from the High school, or other Educational Organizations directly to be considered official. Documents can be submitted to emccadmissions@mainecc.edu or any other document services that the school or organization uses. Many programs will require other documentation to be submitted, and you will be notified of those requirements.

  • Directions on how to activate can be found here
  • What can MyEMCC be used for?
    • Missing document
    • Financial Aid
    • Billing
    • Course Schedule
    • Textbooks
  • Once all documents are processed and your application is reviewed, you will be moved from either application or admit stage to Ready to Enroll. You will get information about completing the Virtual New Student Orientation. After completion, you are ready to enroll in courses. First time students, check your MyEMCC for courses registered from advising. See the New Student Orientation page for further instructions

Homeschooled Applicants
Homeschooled learners are required to submit an official school transcript or an annual assessment of courses completed and one of the following: SAT, ACT, or GED/HiSET results. If none of these tests are available, an Accuplacer placement assessment may be requested by contacting the Admissions Office.

  •  I received an acceptance letter, why can’t I enroll in classes?
    • You must submit immunization records and complete the new student orientation to register for classes.
  • I submitted my immunization records, why is it still showing I am missing that requirement?
    • A record may be out of date, and you will be required to update as needed. Contact Rebecca Mallet at rmallett@mainecc.edu or call 207-974-4715.
  • What classes will I be taking in my program?
    • You will want to view the catalog and search for your choice of program. This will show per semester what your schedule could look like. Feel free to reach out to emccadmissions@mainecc.edu or your program for more information. Once you are ready to enroll, you will also be able to make an appointment with academic advising, emccadvising@mainecc.edu, to go over your class schedule.
