Transfer Agreements
Since Eastern Maine Community College is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE), most academic credits will transfer to other colleges and universities.
It is important to note that the receiving institution always reserves the right to determine whether or not credits will transfer. For specific information, you should contact the institution to which you wish to transfer. Your academic advisor is also available to help you as you plan your academic future.
Husson University
Husson University partners with Eastern Maine Community College to provide pathways for students to further their education. To promote a seamless transfer process for EMCC students, Husson University uses a course-by-course equivalency grid indicating how credits may transfer. Students can use these equivalencies, in combination with the University’s program requirements, to develop a customized degree path to obtain a bachelor’s degree. This dynamic transfer model is designed to provide the most flexible options for students as they continue working towards educational and professional goals. Students are encouraged to check the equivalency grid often as course equivalencies are evaluated frequently by Husson University and may be subject to change.
