“I chose to attend EMCC because of the affordability and closeness to home but more importantly because of the program selection! What I like the most about the school is that the community is really supportive and full of opportunities if you just take them!”

2026 Fall Open House • TBD
In-Person New Student Orientation
Starting college can feel like a lot. In-Person New Student Orientation is here to make it feel a little more manageable and to help you walk into fall already knowing a few faces in your program.
Come meet other students in your field, take a tour built specifically around your program, and connect with Financial Aid, Advising, Housing, and more. You’ll grab some free EMCC swag while you’re at it.
A few things to know:
- This isn’t your Online New Student Orientation. That one is required for all accepted students and lives in Brightspace. In-Person New Student Orientation is a separate, on-campus event.
- For most programs, attending is optional. A few programs do require it. The registration form will tell you whether yours is one of them.
- Each date is built around specific programs. If your program’s attendance is optional and the date built for it doesn’t work for you, come to another one instead. We’d much rather see you at any session than miss you entirely.
- If your program requires attendance and you can’t make it, contact Student Life and we’ll help you sort it out.
Check the registration form for the full schedule and which programs are attending each day, then sign up.
