There are many ways to support EMCC learners.
We will work with supporters to arrange convenient and meaningful methods of giving. We currently accept cash, check, stock, and planned gifts, as well as in-kind donations that have been pre-approved. Each giving opportunity provides a lasting benefit in helping students realize their career and educational dreams and strengthening our region’s workforce and community.
The average cost of attendance (tuition and fees) at EMCC is $3,500 per year plus room, board, books, tools, clinical fees, and supplies. Although the cost of attendance at EMCC is much lower than other Maine colleges and universities, this cost creates a burden for students striving to achieve a post-secondary education.
Books often cost up to $400 for just one semester, and tools to get started in the automotive program can range from $1,000 to $4,000.
Scholarship support is often crucial to student success. Generally, scholarships help reduce the financial burden of college tuition. Some scholarships may be used to purchase necessary books and tools, enabling the recipient to come to class fully prepared and ready to learn.
The EMCC Foundation will work with scholarship founders (both annual and endowed) to establish the scholarship name, award amount and criteria for recipient selection. Scholarships are often based on academic merit, program of study, financial need, and/or enrollment status. Deadline for Fall scholarship awards is June 1 of every year. Don’t wait!
For an even longer lasting legacy, consider establishing a scholarship endowment fund with us, which provides for an everlasting legacy.
Wondering the current status of your family fund or other community funded scholarships? Contact us today to find out their current status, and if you can help students.
The Community and Business Partnership Program is an outreach program to establish to develop partnerships with business and community organizations. These relationships allow for capital equipment and financial donations for specific academic programs.
Specific in-kind donations of program equipment and technological resources are accepted. These gifts enable students to experience “real world” scenarios in preparation for entering the workforce with skill and confidence.
We have the current campaigns currently active to fund much needed equipment for our learners. Please consider giving today to support our students so they are learning on the most up to date technology.
Planned giving offers many benefits to donors. Contributions may be tailored to meet your goals and objectives. Bequeathed gifts ensure that students will be supported in the future without affecting your assets now.
EMCC Foundation’s Endowed Funds are a perfect place to ensure your legacy is remembered forever, while supporting our students indefinitely.

EMCC Food Pantry
EMCC has many students who are working to better their circumstances. Due to ever rising costs, they are often going hungry to better themselves and further their education. Many students are unable to afford a full seven-day dining plan, and the EMCC Food pantry is the difference between staying in school, or quitting and going back to work.
Currently the food pantry serves on average 45 students per week.
See our Food Pantry Wishlist for current needs, or donate to the pantry fund today. We have many community agreements in place that allow us to purchase food at or below cost thanks to partners like Good Shepherd Food Bank and more.
Donate your bottles to our Clynk account to benefit the EMCC Food Pantry!
The EM3C Food Pantry Clynk Program raises money to battle food insecurity in EMCC students. Donations are used to purchase food for the Food Pantry. Multiple donation sites are strategically placed around campus to collect bottles and cans. If you would like to make a large bottle and can donation, please drop off at the Food Pantry located in Johnston Gym between 8:30am-4pm, Monday through Thursday. For questions, please contact Cathy Ryder at 974-4794, or email the food pantry at firstname.lastname@example.org.
