Learn How to Launch Your Nursing Career, Closer to Home
Eastern Maine Community College and Northern Light Health are partnering to make nursing education more accessible across Maine. If you’ve been thinking about a career in nursing but aren’t sure how to get started, join us for an upcoming Nursing Info Session at a hospital near you.
These sessions are a great way to explore EMCC’s Associate Degree in Nursing program, ask questions, and find out how you can train in your own community. This local option removes many of the barriers that keep people from pursuing this in-demand field.
What to Expect at an Info Session:
- Learn about EMCC’s nursing program and how the local cohort model works
- Explore the application process, pre-requisite requirements, and transfer credit options
- Get details on Immunization, background check, and physical requirements
- Hear about scholarships, tuition reimbursement, and loan forgiveness opportunities
- Review sample class schedules and time commitments
- Talk with instructors and hospital representatives
- Hear from past students who trained locally and are now working in the field
