Barbara says of the field, “Medical assistants play an important role in patient care by interacting with patients and employees at every level. This makes them essential healthcare workers.”
Currently, medical assisting positions remain in high demand in Maine, with many hospitals and clinics offering sign-on bonuses to new employees.
