Clinical Assistant

Program Details

Clinical Assistants function as critical members of the health care practice team to meet goals focused on providing quality care and services to patients while supporting clinical staff in various responsibilities.

In EMCC’s Clinical Assistant Program, students are introduced to the clinical assistant’s role in obtaining and recording patient histories, measuring vital signs, responding to medical emergencies, assisting in clinical procedures, effective communications, and maintaining overall patient well-being. Clinical assistants are currently in demand in many primary care and specialty medical offices. This program is specifically designed for those seeking immediate employment in a healthcare setting or those interested in further education in a Medical Assisting or other Allied Healthcare degree program.
