Residence Halls at EMCC

Both of our residence halls are chemical-free and are locked 24 hours a day for the safety of our residents.  In addition, each building is staffed with a live-in Residential Life professional as well as highly trained Resident Assistants who live on each floor and monitor the security of the building and provide programming and activities.  Both halls have wireless internet, on-site laundry, mail service, vending machines and common rooms with flat-screen TVs, microwaves, game tables and other amenities such as game and surround sound systems.

Kineo Hall at EMCC

Kineo Hall was built in 2007 and houses students in “blocks” (two double-occupancy rooms with four people of the same gender) or triple-occupancy rooms.  Each is individually climate controlled and shares a common bathroom.

Acadia Hall houses students in corridor-style double or triple occupancy rooms.  Floors are usually single-sex communities and have bathrooms on each floor.  Acadia features a computer lab on the first floor.

Gender Inclusive Housing (GIH) – This community in Acadia Hall allows students to choose a roommate regardless of sex, gender identity, or gender expression. Students who want to live in the GIH community must fill out their housing application and either identify a specific roommate or be open to rooming with an individual of any gender.

Single Rooms – Unfortunately, due to high volume of housing requests, the only single rooms available on campus are for residents who require accommodations due to a disability.  These requests must be approved by Disability Services.
