ESSENTIAL LEARNING OUTCOMES

All Eastern Maine Community College students, by completion of their program, are expected to demonstrate the following essential learning outcomes:

Communication: Students convey ideas to others using graphics, speech, and writing, while sources (if any) are used correctly and effectively.
Collaboration: Students work effectively with individuals form different backgrounds toward achieving a goal.
Problem Solving: Students develop and reflect upon solution to a problem by assessing, synthesizing, analyzing, and evaluating information using appropriate technology.

But you may plan to practice out of state – and licensure requirements can vary, with some states requiring additional coursework, fieldwork, or other requirements. Medical Radiography Alumni

I chose the Medical Radiography program at EMCC because their successful board passing rates were number one in the state.

I enjoyed being challenged every day with different exams and patients! It only made me a better student radiographer. I also enjoyed learning about all the different ways I can expand my career once I graduate.

I would tell anyone who is considering the Medical Radiography program at EMCC that it is one of the best programs to go through. The instructors are always there to help you in every way possible. They encourage and push you to do your best and step out of your comfort zone to help make you a better radiographer in the long run. The curriculum that is provided doesn’t compare to any other program. The assignments within the curriculum helped me understand everything a lot better. The radiography program at EMCC is definitely the way to go if considering medical radiography.

My name is Ian and I’m in the Criminal Justice program at Eastern Maine Community College.

After struggling in my first major at EMCC, I decided to switch to the Criminal Justice program and I already love it! I enjoy the endless amount of guest speakers and all of the great information they give to the students. The group discussions really make me feel involved and help me learn more.

After I graduate from the Criminal Justice program, I would like to attend the police academy and become a police officer or a game warden.
