Summer Success Academy
If you are a new EMCC student beginning in the Fall 2024 semester and have been accepted into the TRIO program, please consider enrolling in TRIO’s free, in-person Summer Success Academy (SSA). This grant-funded program is designed to provide a strong foundation for new students and allows them to prepare for the transition to college life before their first semester begins.
The 2024 Summer Success Academy runs from August 12th – August 16th on campus. There are 25 spots available. Applications for the Summer Success Academy will be accepted until August 2nd. Apply for TRIO here.
Benefits of the Summer Success Academy:
- Earn up to $500 in scholarships upon completion
- All meals included
- The option to live on campus for free during the Academy
- Early move-in for residential students
- College prep workshops
- Cultural and team-building activities
- Introduction to the EMCC campus, staff, peer mentors, tutors, and resources
- A jumpstart on how to use essential student learning platforms like MyEMCC and Brightspace
- The opportunity to be one of the first students to join EMCC’s TRIO Student Support Services program!
After the program’s completion, TRIO Student Support Services will provide ongoing academic, social, and financial guidance during your time at EMCC. Through one-on-one advising, academic workshops, career development, tutoring, peer mentoring, scholarships, and cultural experiences, we work alongside students to envision and achieve post-graduation success.
If you are interested in joining TRIO Student Support Services and enrolling in the Summer Success Academy, please complete a TRIO application. Participating in the Summer Success Academy is not required to be in TRIO SSS.
